I've never had problem in the parks in which I want to stay. I may not fit in some parks, but I don't want to stay there anyway. I've never missed a good nights sleep over a parking spot.

On a few occasions, they gave us a storage lot for the trailer. This can be elinimated by calling or planning ahead. This is what we do now via several smart phone apps we keep handy.
Can you mention the names of these apps please

There are:
AllStays - Allstays | Campgrounds | RV Parks cost varies per app
RV Park Finder - RV Park Finder - Android Apps and Tests - AndroidPIT FREE
Oh, Ranger! Park Finder - Oh, Ranger! ParkFinder Mobile App | Oh, Ranger! FREE
Passport America - Passport America Android App or Passport America App For iPhone FREE
a shortcut to RVParkReviews - Reviews of RV Parks and Campgrounds - RV Park Reviews FREE
But what I usually do is just open up Google Maps that came with the phone and in the search box just enter "RV Park Campground Resort" and it brings up just about every campground in the area with links to a lot of different reviews

I am sure there are more but those come to mind first.
