I recently purchased a 1993 Itasca Suncruiser, 34'. After getting it home I began to learn about the motorhome. I have discovered that I need to completely rebuild the roof and repair some areas of the ceiling. I plan on laying new fiberglass fabric and resin as the existing fiberglass roof sheet has delaminated and sagged. Does anybody have any insight into this type of project? I am capable of all of the repair work.

ckb346, welcome to iRV2.com. We are glad to have you join us here and look forward to following your project. I am sure you will enjoy this website and forums.
If you have structural damage you will want to attack this from the top. Everything on the roof will have to be taken off and a good inspection done around all air conditioners, vents and sky lite framing. Let us know what you find and if you can post photos to help us see it; that would be great. Take care and be safe.

I have already done the inspection and have taken some photos. I am attacking this from the inside and from the top. I plan on using the existing blue foam as it has electrical channels. I am replacing Luan on the cieling where it warrants and using PL FRP glue as this does not attack the foam and can be trowelled on. When cured it appears to be stronger than Sta-put and 3M super 77. I am jacking the cieling up for support and to regain the arched roof. I am going to remove the super thin layer of fiberglass sheet, cutting the radiused sides from it, leaving them in place. I will replace all of the roof Luan, using the FRP glue and then will lay new 1.5oz fiberglass matt and resin. After which I will apply new 8.5oz fiberglass fabric and finish with Gel coat. This is the plan, if anyone can see where I might go wrong or can give advise, please let me know. Thanks
