The Dash AC in my 2001 Journey quit on the road last week on our way back to the Raleigh NC area. Of course this was the height of the Heat wave so we ran with the GenSet and house AC for 3 days. I figured no problem since there is a Winnebago Dealer in Raleigh but I find they are going out of business this Wednesday and the closest Winnebago dealer is 2 hours from here. I have two questions:
1) Anyone know of a good AC specialist within an hour of Raleigh
2) Anyone have any idea why the Dash AC kick the 25 amp fuse breaker located under the front hood. (I talked to the Winnebago Service Dealer in Florida when we were leaving and they don't feel it is a freon issue). I can reset the breaker and the AC start working but jsut as the air is geeting cool it kicks the breaker again. ARGHHH!!!

Welcome to the forum . You will find lots of helpful folks here and I am sure someone with more AC knowledge than I will respond. I have also put your question in the MH Problems & Solutions area since you may also get helpful responses there.
I would think any reliable large truck repair center (Freightliner Oasis perhaps) would be able to get your problem resolved.

Whatever the problem is you'll, most likely, need a shop to fix it. If the breaker is poping then the compressor is having a tough time. This can be caused by a variety of problems (freon, expansion valve, bad compressor, etc.)

Like Gary said, it could be a number of things, but for whatever reason the compressor clutch is under over than normal stress which is what is causing the breaker to pop. This could be because there is too much or too little freon charge, or a clog or blockage in the system. It could also be because the condenser is not being cooled, which is causing high pressures in the system, which in turn would make it difficult for the compressor to pump freon through the system.
