I recently ordered a set of jack pads from this company: http://outdoors-for-life.com/rv.html

They make pads for industrial and emergency use, as well as RVs.

They are very substancial, and came in a nice canvas carrying bag. They should last forever, no more splitting of the old 2x12s, although I'll keep them for those occasions when one of the jacks may be in a 'hole'.

The site shows them only in black, but as you can see from the photos I'm attaching, mine came in yellow. They come in various sizes, these are 14".

You can never have too many jack pads. I have 4 solid black plastic ones that I have had for years. They are about 10 x 10 and ~3/4s of an inch thick. They have aluminum handles so I can place and grab them. I also carry 2 packages of stacker blocks.

I make mine out of scrap 3/4" plywood. 4 years on the first set and they're still good for a few more years. Cost: $0 Even if you had to buy the plywood, for $137 you'd have a couple of lifetime supply of jack pads for yourself and all your friends. I don't feel bad if I drive off and leave a few behind.
