We have a automatic KVH in-motion satellite antenna dome. When the power to the antenna is turned on to allow it to find the bird I see interference lines running across the TV screen and slightly down. When I turn the power off after finding the bird the interference lines go away. The only thing I can think of between the antenna and the TV is the video selector switch. Is this causing the problem? Can I put in a filter or something to stop these interference lines? We have not used the antenna when driving down the road yet but our grand daughter will be with us this summer and she may want to watch TV. Right now it would be a little difficult to watch it for any length of time. Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Gary, it sounds like you may have either a bad cable or just a bad connection. Recheck att the conections and see if it won't clear up. If not you may have to replace a cable. The satelite cable does not go through the vedio box It should run straigh from the dish output to the reciever. If you suspect a bad cable; run a new one from reciever to dish out the door and up to the dish. If that clears it up then you will need to run it permanantly through the roof. Good luck and let us know what you find is the fix.
