KVH R4 - Dish Network

I need help! We have a KVH R4 Satalite and have been trying to us Dish Network (2700 receiver) It is so off and on/I want to throw the hole thing out. KVH says we need to have a 311 Receiver, but no guarrantee it will fix the problem, but want a 18 month contract. Has anyone else had this problem. Or should I just cancel Dish and try with Direct?

I would try a portable dish, this would eliminate the KVH system. My first thought is a problem with KVH.

I went to a KVH presentation at the Newmar International this summer and was told that the only Dish receiver that will work properly with the KVH is the 311. That is what I have and it works fine. I did add the Dish 500 DVR and it works on 119 but will not search for 110 satelite. Most of what we watch is only 119, so it is fine for us.

The ultimate solution is switching to Direct. We are sticking to Dish as that is what we have at home and have a contract.
