Anyone know the manufacuturer of this motor, or a source for one or to get this one rebuilt? It doesn't seem to have any id stamped on it and this one is quite trashed.

Take it to the auto parts store and have them match it up. Most likely an older Ford product window motor.

Unfortunatly the quikee motor part number is fairly meaningless as kwickee seems to be bye-bye, although their web pages live on in cyberspace. This motor is more like a starter motor than a window motor, it's about the size of a roll of paper towels, weighs 3-6lbs and has 4 brushes. I did get new brushes from a guy who said they were the same as brushes for a Bosh motor, but the bushes he sold me were solidered to bolt heads and they had to be removed an put on the old triangular shaped bolt heads as their special shape held the brush and rear bearing "fixture" in place. I think I might need a starter motor rebuilder, but I haven't been able to find any on the net or around this area (Bishop, Ca).

thanks for the suggestions,
reckless

gbs2320, you must have been a CIA or FBI agent in a former life to have figured that out. I haven't had a chance to try them yet, but post my experience. In the meantime the fishing is great here on the lakes up Bishop Creek and my campsite (Horton Creek BLM) is paid up thru Sept. No dishing the other suggestions, they'd probably work in a bigger town, but we're fairly rural here.

reckless, taking it as it comes
