Kwikee Level Best

I have a 40ft 1996 Hawkins Motor Coach with a Kwikee Level Best hydraulic leveling system. When I returned home from a recent trip I tried to put the levelers down and nothing happened.
I found that somewhere along the way the motor had separated from the pump and was gone. I am trying to locate a replacement motor. Kwikee Products is no longe rin bussiness .If you could help me I would greatly appreciate it,
The only Identification tag I can find is on the hydraulic Pump. The serial no. 0248

Thank You : Terry B. Myers

Terry,
Kwikee is now owned by Power Gear but unfortunately it is almost impossible to get them to answer the phone, from what I have heard. They are requiring customers to go through their dealer (manufacturer) for parts. You can jump to the Kwikee web page from the link I provided and there you can click on "find a dealer." Hope that helps.

Thanks for the response. I contacted Power Gear and they were no help. They told me that the unit was obsolete and parts were unavailable. As the motor was lost I have no way of knowing what I need to look for. They have no technical information on the motor design.

Powergear does not own kwikee. Actuant corp owns them both.
The motor that runs the pump looks like a big block chevy starter motor with out the nose cone on it. I don't know if that's what it is but that's what it look's like. I would try some wrecking yards.
