Speaking of oil filters, does anyone know of a larger capacity filter I can use on my 8.1? The local parts stores are no help. Thanks

Here is a link to several previous discussions on what some members were using. I personally use the ACDelco PF1218(1qt) size. NAPA can also cross reference you up with their filters which are usually good quality.

AC Delco oil filters,for a 8.1,
1 quart,P/N-PF932
2 quart,P/N-PF1218
Wix filters
1/2 quart,Standard size,P/N57099
1 quart,P/N 51060
2 quart,P/N 51794
Most guys on here seem to like the quality of the Wix,and they say that they make tha NAPA filters and some others too.
