Is there a larger oil filter for the Ford V-10 engine. If so does anyone know the number? The stock seems small for that size engine.
Thanks,Joe

In a word, no.

Others have searched. Search around here or maybe that other rv net place.

We use the standard FL-820S on all our stuff at work (Ford Racing). Granted we don't do oil changes based on mileage, but we've never found cause to use anything else.

(A remote setup would offer the ability use about any filter, if you really want to.)

Here's two suggestions:

(1) Install a Bypass Filter, which operates in parallel with the standard filter but substantially increases the filtering capacity. You can probably even extend the oil change interval if you want to, but you will have to oil analysis to verify that. Here is one source of info: Amsoil Bypass

(2) Go to a NAPA parts store and ask them to look up the specs on your standard Ford filter and then see if they can find another, larger, filter that has the same thread, bore opening, etc. They have all that info in their book and will look it up for you if they aren't too busy. You can also check for the same engine in marine applications or off-road equipment; they often use larger oil pans and bigger filters in those "severe duty" environments.
