Leaking Bypass valve at Hot Water Tank

Our brand new Monaco Monarch has a leak at the bypass supply valve to the Hot Water Tank. It seems to be at the compression connection. The leak is bad enough that water is running out on the floor. If I put the valve in bypass position the leak stops. Our HW Tank is below and behind the sink and I can see and reach the bypass valve below the sink by looking over a partition under the sink. This partition is part way up so you can use the area below the sink for your dish soap and stuff. The partition makes it almost impossible to get to the rear of the HW Tank. I bought the Monarch at Camping World which is about 3 hour drive away. This is the first time for us taking the Motor Home out and here in WV/Ohio area the Camp Grounds close Nov 1st. The Coach is under warrenty, so do I have any choice but to take it back to Camping World to get it fixed or should I try to get it fixed by someone local and try to get Camping world to reimburse me? Do they have to remove the hot water tank to get to the rear of it?

Most Monaco warranties are no longer valid, i.e. on any coach produced before it bacame Monaco LLC a few months ago. I mention this because your warranty is good at any Monaco dealer if you have a valid Monaco warranty, but only good at CW if it is a CW (dealer) warranty. If you have a factory warranty, there is likely somebody near you who could fix it. Call Monaco and ask whre the closest authorized service center is - they may even autorize a local repair shop in your case.

As for seeking reimbursement from CW, you must get authorization from CW before getting it repaired elsewhere.
