Good morning I have a 2000 Four Winds Five Thousand Class c . My question is my stove vent that comes through the side of the motor home has a small leak . Should I try to remove it from the outside and reaseal it or should I try to calk it as is? Any experience with this?

Sealing it as-is would be easier, and it might work. IMO, however, removing the vent is the best way to seal it. That way you can get rid of all the old, dried-up cailk and come out with a neat-looking, positive seal.
PAZ thanks for the welcome I guess I'll try to seal it as is. Looks like there are a couple of things to undo before you can remove it from the wall. Just wonderd if others had done that before and was it difficult? Will Dicor Lap Sealant work ? The motorhome has white walls.
Our stove isn't vented to the outside in our current motorhome, but I removed the vent in our old travel trailer. It had 6 or 8 screws around the perimeter - that was all there was to it.
Dicor should work. Get the kind that is NOT self leveling so it doesn't run down the wall.
Ok thanks for the info I'll give it a try I only have the self leveling Dicor so I will have to get the other kind. Again thanks since this was my first post after lurking for a about a year I'm not as intimidated as I was.
