Recently I replaced about 70% of our "puck light" G4 halogen blubs with LED disc that I purchased on eBay. They work great and the color/brightness is almost identical to the G4 blubs. While looking for more blubs on eBay I ran across another vendor selling the exact same item, at least the photos and markings are the same, for about 2/3s what I paid for mine. They also include free shipping. Yes, I realize these are not shipped from the USA, but I believe that all the ones that are shipped from the USA are made in Honk Kong, Taiwan or China anyway.
Here is a link for G4 LED replacements for $1.69 for the next 9 hours or so: http://www.ebay.com/itm/150668595023...84.m1423.l2649 I have NOT purchased from this seller.
Here is a link for G4 LED replacements for qty 5 from the seller I purchased mine. He says they are 6500k but that is not true, they are closer to 3000k. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=250920053191
I also purchased these http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=320804362828 a few weeks ago and ordered some more to use them in some other lights in our coach and plan on using them in all our marker lights. Their output is in the 6000k-6500k range and very very bright.
I have no connection to any of these sellers and receive no compensation for this info. I am only providing IRV2 members information that I think might help them in their search for LED replacements.

Thanks for this. I just bought 10 from the $1.69 guy. I'll post back here if I have problems.

Will these LED G4 lights work on a dimmer?

I have not yet installed them on the lights where the dimmers are located but will be doing that in a few days and will post the results.
Also... I will post in a new thread after I take some photos, but one of the grab bars by the front doors light was missing. Previous owner apparently took it out but left the pigtail in place. I took one of the disc, removed the two pronge plug, added leads to the middle of the disk where the ground and +12vdc comes in, filed down the PCB to get it to a size to fit inside the bottom grab bar mount and glued it in place. WOW now the bar lights up the entire left front side of the interior of the coach. I may have to put in a smaller LED assembly such as a 9 LED one that I found. But for now it is a great night light!

Are the G4 LEDs you are using centered in the housing or are they off center when installed?

Mike, they are off center but unless you look directly at the light you would not know. The PCB is about 1" in dia. As you can see from the photos you could trim the leads a little and it would be very close to the center.

Looks like a great addition for solar use. Those G4s really use the juice. Thanks

Mike....The LEDs are dimmable from 100% down to about 25% and then shut off. They will not dim as low as the original bulbs. The soft whites have good color and you eliminate the heat. If your light housings are like mine, there is a VERY heay metal reflective puck inside the housing to disperse heat. The puck is removeable and makes the new LED's fit better.

There are no "fit" issues with the LED assemblies that I listed. They fit just fine and thus do not require you to remove the reflector.
As for these assemblies being dimmable, I don't know as I ran out of them before I got to the ones that have the dimming ability. However, I will move 3 of them over to the dimmable ones and give it a try and report my findings.

First, I am not sure what a mutilplex dimmer is. My Dynasty contains two banks of 3 lights on each bank that goes to one dimmer that is probably a reostat as it is a knob that you turn. I moved 3 of the LED assemblies from my non-dimmable lights to the lights that have the dimmer attached and they worked just fine. As Diplomat Don stated, they do not dim all the way off but they are very dim and since my dimmer has a switch in the last position if I want them off I just turn the knob another 1/8".
