Leveler Help!!!

Hey All,

We are in the middle of our first shake-down weekend in the new to us Revolution (2005). We arrived yesterday, parked, deployed the levelers automatically and I double checked and they were all down and locked. We put out the slides, hooked up...etc...

This morning I noticed that all four levelers are up off the ground about 2 inches. What is the best way for me to re=lower them? Do I put all slides back in before I try re-lowering the levelers? I hate to go to all that trouble but I will if it is best. And should I retract fully or just turn the power on and try to automatically level once again.

Thanks for your quick response. I will post the full results of this weekend tomorrow night...

Faith

Hi Faith...

Do you have HWH jacks? If so, I'm not sure what's caused them all to come up off the ground but unless you're coach is now obviously way out of level, I would just level it manually at this point without retracting the slides. Pushing the automatic level button again won't do it I don't believe because I think the system needs to cycle through a store cycle before it can auto level again. I would just try using the manual buttons to get the coach level. It would be good practice.

Rick,

We do have HWH and I think that I can do this manually. Please let me run the steps by you though...

I will turn leveler power on and lower each leveler separately until they are firmly seated on the ground. We are on a cement pad, so we are really quite level to start with. I will then turn the power off and hopefully the levelers will stay put until we leave tomorrow.

Thanks for your assistance.

Faith

My HWH jacks will re-level without retracting first. I would just give that a try. I wouldn't worry about the slides. Just leave them as is. You might do more damage by trying to bring them in when you are not level than just leaving them until you get level again.

At least on my coach, the jacks won't work individually but rather in pairs. If you're alrady pretty level you can do just as you suggest but go ahead and give Doug's suggestion a try to see if it will auto level for you without having to do a retract... although I'm not sure what damage you could do by retracting. You're going to have to do that before you drive anyway.

Thank you all!!!

Thanks All,

I tried and tried using the automatic leveler function and after all were down and seemed level, one or more would retract a couple of inches and then stay up. The system kept beeping at me then to tell me something was amiss. I then, with a neighbor, got them all down and because we are very level on a cement pad, I stopped the levelers and finished manually. I turned off the power to the system and now we are all down and level. Hopefully they will not retract on their own again. But I will put this on my list of things to be checked out.

We are having a ball!!! This is such a nice coach and we are quite pleased with everything so far. I will send a more complete report tomorrow when we return home.

Thanks again,

Faith - Currently Camping in Salisbury, MA
