Leveling Jacks question

I have Big Foot leveling jacks. I noticed when I start my RV the control box powers up. Is this normal? I thought the jacks were not suppose to be operable when engine is running. When I press the power button to power down the "all up" light stays lit. Anyone know anything about the Big Foot Controls.

Thanks

This http://www.thebigfootleveler.com/upl...TEM_MANUAL.pdf may be of help. When you say "power down", do you mean putting he jacks down to level or turning the power switch off?

Who is the manufacturer of the coach? The jacks can be operated with the engine running and depending on how the manufacturer wired the key pad power source may come on when the ignition is on.

I have one on mine that won't come up while we are on the subject of Big Foot. Right Rear. How do you get the air out of the line and what lubricant can you put on the shaft besides silicon?

Is the light for that jack being down on when the touch pad is turned on? If not, the switch on the bottom of that jack is stuck or not making contact and the controller thinks it is up and will not retract it. Push the jack switch up and down, wiggle it or what ever to get the jack down light of that jack to come on. If it will not come on. Cut the wiring and if need be splice together. Once you get the light on try retracting it and be ready to turn it off manually when it has fully retracted. The Jack down light will not go off until you disconnect that switch circuit. Then order a new switch.

Ok

All Up light will be displayed always. It is a safety feature. It should be the only lit light after turning the power off.

The ALL UP light is kind of like two lights on my dash,, JACKS DOWN and STEPS OUT.. When I put er in Drive I want them DARK.

Jacks may be hooked to house or chassis batteries, if hooked to Chassis (Or for that matter even if hooked to house) they MAY want the engine running to provide full voltage to the pump.
