Leveling Leg Help Needed

1997 Newmar Kountry Aire gas engine on an F53 chassis. Hwh 200 series straight leg system.

Here's the issue...I hit a root backing up into the yard and it ripped the foot off the driver side rear leveler unbeknownst to me. Anyway, the leg burrowed straight down through the NC clay. What sucks is that I positioned a poly block before I put them down and didn't notice the foot was hanging by the springs off of the leg. That footless leg shot right through that suckered like a hot knife through butter.

So the leg would not retract even after I cut the poly block off and dug the thing out. I next positioned a 4' Gorilla pry bar under the leg and it still wouldn't budge. I tried to see if the leg was operational by extending it a tad and it did, so I think the pump and controller are still ok.

How do I get this damned thing back up? The owners manual was zero help, as was a cursory Google search. Anyone?

The jacks are retracted by the springs, but only when the system is actively in store mode. You must open(leave system off) the solenoid valve "T" handle for that jack and pry it up manually. Downside_ you now must dig a hole under the jack large enough to place something to pry against under the jack-shaft. You will find everything about your jacks on the HWH website. This will be slow and tedious because the jack oil must flow backwards through the controller orifice as the shaft retracts. Close the "T" handle when the shaft is fully retracted-pushed back into the cylinder as far as it will move. Then replace the springs and pad, you'll find those instructions by using the search feature of irv2.com.
I had to perform this when my LR jack buried in the dirt at a fairgrounds CG; but I still had the springs to retract the jack after freeing in from the dirt.

I was able to use a gorilla bar and a good fulcrum to force the ram back up. Then I was able to muscle the foot back into place. Checked the system out and all was well. Whew!
