While on vacation, we noticed that some of the coaches had purchased a nice license plate holder that held the FMCA "egg" sign so it could be mounted on the front of the coach. I've looked on the FMCA website and didn't see anything like that. Anyone have any suggestions or ideas? Thank you!

I checked out their website and gave them a call, but they do not make the holders for the front license plate. Hmmm.....don't know where to find it??

Hi

Try the KILEY MOLD CO.
Their web site is kileymold.com

They make brackets that will hold plaque directly on the license plate.
Good Luck

Bill

I used the backside of a dealers plastic tag and mounted the FMCA egg to it and then to the MH.

In Texas we have to have a license plate on the front so that's not option for us.

We bought (2) clear suction cups and mounted these to the front of the FMCA plate then rest it on the dash and secure it to the middle of the windshield on the inside with the cups. Our state also requires a front license plate which is why we went this route.

Looking at the Kiley Mold site I did not see the license plate thingy I recall from when I got my motor home

Seems to me they used to make a plastic frame for the goose egg that fit a license plate frame

So. to the O/P. here is what you can do

First, Find a body man.. Not a "Collex" type shop but something like "Joe's Body Shop" where there are crashed cars sitting about.

Now.. Ask JOE to make you a license plate "Blank" this is a piece of sheet metal a bit larger than a standard license plate.. Have him drill it with six holes

4 of them match a standard license plate frame you get at any Auto-place

The other two are drilled to match the Goose Egg and center it in the frame

Now bolt the Goose Egg to the plate and bolt the plate to your ride.. Job done.

When I re-looked at the KILEY MOLD SITE under the FMCA Products line, there is a License Plate braket system that allows a person to mount the FMCA goose egg either above or below a license plate. This should be OK for those states that have front license plates (including mine - CA). This mounting is OK if it works with your front MH cap or bumper. In my case it did not and I also went with the suction cups in the front window when we are parked at a campsite. We also have the FMCA goose egg mounted in a "Plaque Frame" on our rear ladder.

Good Luck
Bill

Been pretty busy that last month or so having moved into a new house that we had built and the daughter/son-in-law presenting us with our 1st grandchild. I thought they came already housebroke, but apparently not.
See you guys at the rally this summer.

Ok, now back to the subject of this thread.

I have always found a couple of pieces of the foam 2-sided tape to work very well, and it looks good, too.
