Cool Lights are abusive...

First forgive me if this has been asked or discussed. I'm a new member and a case of A.D.D. I really did attempt to look for my solution. Our inside lights are so bright. They are not the LED lights .. we went to pep boy or something and bought blue and amber to put in one side. and they are brighter than the ones in there already. They don't seem to bug my husband but just do a number on me. Even with just one side on, it feels like a flashlight in my face. Help?

Glad to have you here with us.

Which interior lights are you talking about, the ceiling lights? I use mine only for general illumination rarely for lazing around. I bought small table lamps and that is what I use for sitting around at night. Have you tried to get lower wattage bulbs?

Most 12volt bulbs have different candlepower ratings available. Go back to the auto parts store and talk to them about your concerns. Be sure to take along the bulbs that bother you to show them. Should be a simple solution without getting colored bulbs.

I will not muddy the waters by mentioning the possibility of converting to LED..... oh guess I just did.

Thanks to all ya'll. I took back the offensive bright lights.. went to walmart and found tiny little lights ...only bought one pack and perfect... just perfect... well perfect for the meantime. we will switch to LED as suggested by gruelens. Happy Camper!!! Ya'll are the best.

There are two main types of bulb bases, push in and twist lock. But there are many different brightness of bulbs per type. So just because it fits, doesn't mean it's right.

Does your coach have a dimmer for the overhead lights? You might be able to just dial down the brightness.

You going to Walmart and comparing the bulbs is probably the easiest way to get what you want.
Here is a chart of 12v bulbs and selecting the part # gives all the values..

I will talk about 3 common bayonet (make it 4) lamps.

https://www.rvledbulbs.com/v/vspfile...scentbulbs.pdf

#93, 1003, 1073, 1141 1156. And a bunch of others all fit the same socket, On the chart the number in YELLOW is the light output. Very interesting, thanks for making me look it up.. I needed that chart.

(One of the ways I learn is by looking up stuff for other people so I am being serious when I say Thanks).
