Low cost Chinese rearview systems

I bought one of the no-name rearview systems off e-bay for about $95.00 including shipping. My old b/w Weldex system had died. I ordered from a company in the US. Bench testing showed the system works perfectly and has good color and picture.
The down side is the cables do not match. I have located a source for the adapters. Vehicle Safety Supply has the adapters for $22.35 including shipping. Part numbers are: ADPT-46AE and ADPT-64AE. You need one of each. I spoke with people at VSS today when I ordered and will take about two weeks as they order from manufacturer (ECCO), who will not sell to public.

Back Up System

Appreciate the post. I have been looking at them also. I hope you keep us posted on how the system works. Information on the particular system would be helpful also.

Thanks,

Greg

They are all made in China!!! US companies buy them from China, mark them up 200 percent and sell to us.

Just two weeks ago for instance, I saw an add for Okely sunglasses 15 bucks. I bought them figureing they were knockoffs. Came in last week from china. If they are copies they did one hell of a job copying them even to the case
