My propane tank needed refilling. When the attendant at a reputable park attached the hose the gas wouldn't go into the rv tank. This was the first time I tried filling the tank as the rv is new. The man offered the opinion that the intake valve was stuck shut. Anyone have any input or advice????

Welcome to the forum David! This is a stumper for me but I'm sure one of our experts will chime in soon.

This happened to me the first time I refilled. The attendant(a young kid)did not turn his pump on. Not like a gas pump where you just open the valve. He had me convinced I needed a new valve. Live and learn.

I would try taking it somewhere else too, or even the same place at a different day or time. Many facilities have no idea how to pump propane. The last time I filled up, I had to show the lady at the station how to do it. She was very proud of us that we got it done, and I'm sure she'll be able to solo for the next customer who asks.

Thanks for responding! I am going to do as you suggest but I wanted to see if anyone else has had a problem similar to mine. The shared experiences on this forum can save a lot of time and money.
Best,
Dave
