In answer to Kens' question. The station that does my inspections says that the enhanced inspections are very thorough and will include inspections of brake and fuel lines for wear, rust and leaks and dismounting of wheels and drums to check brake pads , all lights etc etc and you need to have a fire extinguisher and chock block handy.

Just called my inspection station in Westfield, MA they state it is only $29 for a motorhome, not subject to the enhanced inspection fee.

Just got my coach inspected yesterday. $29.00.
The inspector rolled around under the coach for a fair amount of time, from front to rear. Looking at exhaust, shocks, frontend components, fuel tank (he said for staining/wet spots) Did regular headlight alignment check, all other lighting checks. Raised frontend and wiggled both front wheels.
All in all, he took a good look at the rig..............and I passed with flying colors.

Any gas MH's been inspected recently in N.E. MASS lately. Seems like most are south and west of here.

Roger, I called all over the North Shore area and finely found Hamilton Enterprises in Rowley is now doing gas powered motor homes. I'm going up there next week and will let you know the details. There are a number of stations that are registered to do the 10,000 to 26,000 # trucks but there doors aren't high enough, or all they do are diesel chassis's.

Thumbs up

Finlay got the inspection sticker , at Hamilton Enterprises on Rt 1 in Rowley. The motor home is classified as a Auto Home, not a commercial vehicel and dosn't come under the same DOT. regulations. The caost was $29.00 and no shop time charge. The folks at Hamilton Enterprises are great pepole to work with.
