4thstring, welcome to IRV2
Glad to have you aboard, if you take the control knobs off will the post turn with a pair of pliers? Not sure if you can lube post to see if it will free up to turn but you could give that a try. Have you ever used the oven?
If it will not free up a new control is your only choice. The RV-WIZARD will pick this up maybe he will have a answer for you.
If you would post coach info in your signature-profile block and that info will follow your every post.
Enjoy the forums. "007"

Most likely stuck from lack of use. Go easy if you use the pliers approach or you may end up with a broken control. Shut off the gas before you try to force it in case you do snap anything.

Does the control have a packing nut visible when you remove the knob? If so you may try loosening it, applying some penetrating oil and then if you get it moving re-adjust the packing nut. If it is an o-ring you could try some o-ring grease instead and then try to work it by gently applying force to the shaft in alternating direction until it starts to budge. If it is seized internally and not just by the shaft seal you will probably be better off replacing it.

Regards,

Neil

4thstring, welcome to iRV2.com. We are glad to have you join us here. It does sound like it is frozen from lack of use. I would follow Neil's recommendation and try to soften up the shaft with a penetrating oil of a sort. If you cannot get it to move the only recoarse would be to replace it. I wish I had a better answer, try not to get too hasty as it may take some time for the penetrant to get in and do it job. Good luck and let us know how it turns out.
