Major Fire Sweeps Holland RV Center, San Marcos

At this moment... the San Diego area's sales and service center for several major RV brands is burning.

Live video shows the service stalls building, the rear of the sales building and some RV's are involved.

This lot is adjacent to the San Marcos Camping World but CW facilities do not seem to be involved.

This is the Holland RV at 251 Travelers Way, San Marcos, CA (not the Holland in Santee or Palm Desert). Some of their inventory might be at the Pomona RV show...hopefully reducing the losses(?)

Safe travels

I have been to both that Camping World and, that RV repair/sales dealership across the street and, I can tell you, that is one TIGHT street to get a bunch of fire trucks/ladder trucks/BC Cars/ and anything else fire related into. And, every time we've been at C/W, those lots that surround that repair facility are totally full of RVs, EVERY TIME.

No doubt about it, that's one serious fire. Been to a few of those. Hope none on here had theirs there and, lost it. That would suck big time.

So sad to hear! This is the same facility that Steve Wilson used to work at (God rest his soul).

24 hours later and the fire is out...but the investigation is slowed because the concrete service building is sagging at the corners due to the fire's intensity.

Evening TV coverage reports 17 RV's lost and several damaged. The video shows many Class A's, C's and a 5er parked in front of the service stalls are severly damaged, and the remains of RV's fill all stalls too

Would guess Holland RV in San Marcos is out of the service and repair business for a long time to come...making finding service in SoCal just that much harder

Safe travels
