HOW DO I FIND OUT IF THE SCREWS ARE TO LONG TO PUT INTO THE TOP OF MY MH? ARE THERE ALTERNATIVE METHODS TO ATTACHING THE MAXX AIR COVERS TO THE TOP?
ANY HELP?

You might try backing out a screw from another cover on the roof. You might also call Tiffin in Red Bay, AL.
My total guess would be no longer than 1.5 inches.

Maxx air vent covers don't attach to the roof.
They have brackets that attach to aluminum vertical sides of the existing vent.
The attaching screws are covered by the existing cover when it is closed.
The mounting system is quite secure.

Another way to mount the MaxAir is to screw the bracket to the MH. A 3/4" or 1" screw will work. The roof is thicker than you would think. I have worried about screw length also.

THANKS GENTS,,AS YOU CAN TELL I DO NOT HAVE THE BRACKETS OR INSTRUCTIONS. IF I CANT FIND SOME KIND OF BRACKET THEN AN ALTERNATIVE WILL PREVAIL. THANKS AGIN TO A GREAT FORUM.

Maxxair instruction do not show an installation drilling into the roof and using screws. Matter of fact they call their system MaxxAir's Zero-Leak Mounting System. Drilling into the roof would not be Zero-Leak.
Of course you could drill the floor and screw them on or even glue them to the roof.
Bill, if you don't have the stainless steel brackets call Maxxair. I'll guess they'll send them to you at no cost.

I agree on using the brackets only.
The cover is not meant to sit on the roof.

I looked at several vent covers before I selected the Aero-Flo Roof Vent Cover. All the vent covers I investigated use brackets as shown in the above post. None are intended to mount directly to the roof. They all attach to the existing roof vent to keep the potential source of leaks to a minimum. Keeps water from collecting on the roof, also.

Excellant posting of the mounting diagram. We have the vent covers on our motorhome, different brand, same mounting system. The brackets are the only way to go, easy to mount and vertually leak proof! We really like the vent covers as it allows us to leave the roof vents open when we are away or not using the rv and we don't have to worry about rain. We've even driven in the rain with the vents open and never had rain come in.

Did you purchase these at a store or a swap meet/yard sale etc? If a store exchange them for complete ones with all the hardware.
No matter what get the hardware and install them as designed. Why create four more potential leaks.
