Spic 'N Span works like a paint-stripper. Roof material is different from car paint, so I imagine it is okay for that. We never bought it again after it ruined our car's paint.

Newmar used to recommend Murphy's Oil Soap for the BriteTek roof and Johnson's baby soap for the rest of the rig. Still do that even on the Magna although it has a fiberglass roof.

That can't be right; SpicNSpan is recommended for washing your painted walls in the house. I submit it was just your cars paint, don't condemn the product because you used it for a purpose not listed on the container or recommended by the auto mfgr.

Sorry, Ray. It wasn't "the paint." I have associated with automotive people for over 40 years and they and "common folk" have all said that Spic 'N Span is bad for car paint.
