mechanical slide locks

Is there some maintenance that should be done on the slide locks? I can't say for sure but I think mine are sticking as some time when I go to put the slide out it doesn't want to move and then it gives a bang and jumps a bit it will do this a couple of times and then it runs smooth. My thinking is that the locks are sticking and need lube but I can't see how. These are the mechanical locks not the electric locks. I have checked and can't see that the slide is binding or sticking any other place.

Thanks.

Check slide out mechanism when it is extended and get under the coach where the gears and rack would stop when it is retracted. Lubricate all of this with a dry silicone spray. You can also lubricate the lock with the same dry silicone. Make certain that there is not broken teeth on the rack. Doesn't sound like the gear is an issue since it is smooth after the initial pop. There may need to be some adjustment but I would lubricate the whole mechanism first. Good luck and keep us posted.

Thanks for the quick reply, but my slide is all Hydraulic there are no racks or gears. The locks [at least that is what I call them] are the cam locks that are activated just as the slide comes to the full in Position.
