Michelin XZA3 Now Available

I had been waiting for a set of Michelin XZA3 275/80R22.5 LR H, but they were not scheduled to be produced again until May or June. I just learned that they are now in production. I was able to get 6 with a DOT date of 1615. Can't get much newer than that.

I've had , brand spanking new Michelins, on a P/U, before; and they felt squirmy, until they had been through a couple of dozen heat cycles.
Like the rubber hadn't fully cured. Hope yours don't act the same.

You should be able to find them at any of Michelin National account dealers. I suggest you look up dealers under michelinrvtires.com. I'll be using the FMCA Michelin Advantage program to save some money.

Currently have Goodyear. "Rivering" really bad after only 33,000 miles.

I get the Michelins tomorrow; so, can't comment on the drive and ride characteristics yet.

I have about 600 miles on my new XZA3+ installed in Williams at Love's Truck Stop. Installed with Counteract Balancing Beads. I always thought the old ones were nice but the new ones with the Counteract Beads are Smoooooth! Like Skip says they were a little squishy at first but are now settled in and rolling.

Just got my 6 new XZA3 today. Have only driven about 50 miles since install, but big improvement in ride and handling. Had GY before that had horrible "rivering" at 33,000.

Michelin says it takes about 30,000 miles on truck size tires before the give the best handling/fuel mileage. It's in their truck tire manuals.
Of course, by then they've aged out on RV's.

Have you tried the FMCA "Advantage" program? Should save you hundreds of $$ on a set. Will cost you $50 to join FMCA and then you need to find a tire dealer that works with the Advantage program. I'm not sure Les Schwab does.
