I had a similar problem with a brand new Arctic Fox camper I bought in 2008. The Onan propane powered generator would run, then quit.

Took the camper back to the dealer and they eventually traced the problem to a bundle of wires inside the generator housing, underneath the genny, that had been pinched when Onan assembled the unit.

Well thanx for the reply. .ive been trying to figure this out without digging to deep into genset or have to remove it from my mh but i guess its time to yard it out and get serious to figure this thing out. .have a razor clam digging trip planned for end of next month and we will be dry camping and the last thing i need is a unrelyable generator!

Mine had to come out of the compartment, which probably wasn't easy.

Once it was out the fix was simple. I made them install a new genny under warranty.

They wanted to fix the pinched wires and I said, UH - I don't think so!!
