I have the same thing happening on my '03 Sightseer. same microquiet 4000 watt generator. I do have a Sears meter that will read cycles and yes the cycles read all over the scale, from 40 up to 120 cycles but the change is very, very rapid. If I run the A/C to put a load on the generator the cycles smooth out to 59.7 to 60.5 cycles.
also the TV seems to run fine on generator power. I guess I should have it checked out at the Onan shop.
