Microwave mounting problem

This is my first time, and I don't know if I am doing this right or in the right place, but here goes. I have a 2005 diesel bounder 34m. The microwave is hung over the oven. The metal on the top of the microwave rips out where the mounting bolts are attached. I have replaced the microwave once and tried to reinforce it to no avail. I would like to know if anyone else has had this problem and what you did to fix it. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Dennis

Welcome aboard. If I understand the 2 bolts the attache the microwav to a cross barcket have stripped out/ is that correct? If so, if you remove the microwave and remove the cover, you should be able to reenforce the area so that attaching bolts will hold. to be sure, pICs would be quite helpful.

If the original bolts are still holding, just the metal is weakened, you could try fender washers. Also, some additional fasteners could be installed elsewhere in the bracket, just be sure they don't interfere with the hanging of the microwave.

Thanks for the reply...I will try to send pics of problem when I get my son to post them for me as I am still learning..
The entire metal top of microwave is spitting from the two mounting holes out.

When I figure this out I will repost my question on the forum.

Thanks again,
Dennis
