Motor home fire

Suddenly 250 miles from home smoke starts boiling out from the dash of my 96 Adventurer. We had a blazing fire. Thank God, I was able to put the fire out before it engulfed the entire unit.
We sat beside the road for an hour. A relay (I'm guessing that is what it is.) burned to ashes and burned a hole in another one.
I cut the four wires and caped them and taped several other one that had the insulation burned off.
We cranked and continued to Cherokee, NC with out problem except the steps will not retract.
I suppose, the relay was for the steps. I don't know.
Can anyone help me identify the burned up relay or tell me if the relay for the steps is in the dash? Can you give me a part number that I may replace it with a new one?
I am confident I'll receive help from this forum.

Me & my Hun RVing for fun!

I'm no help on the relay question but wanted to say that I'm sure glad you are okay! How scary that must have been.

Thanks for the reminder about having a working fire extinguisher close by too. That's something else I've been meaning to check.

I too want to congratulate you on your extinguishment skills.

I am not familiar with your coach but I am with Winnebago. A couple of ways to go is to see if the wiring drawing for your coach is still avail. at Winnebago. You can down load it if it is.

You could also call Lichtsinn RV | Winnebago, Itasca, Winnebago Touring Coach and talk to their parts department and if it is available these guys can get it. Have you V.I.N. ready and explain what happened.
