We have owned both and even owned a 98, Georgie Boy Cruise Master. We had very little problem with ours but we bought it new and owned it for 14 years, living fulltime in it for nearly 12 of those years. We left the road because of wife health issues and then downsized from the 36' CM to a 20' travel trailer.

No matter what type of RV you choose, if it is used the condition and history of it is critical to your having a trouble free experience. Condition is probably more critical with a motorhome because it has an engine and transmission that the trailers do not have. We still prefer the motorhome style of travel but because we don't use it nearly as much and our budget was limited we chose to buy a smaller trailer.

Some people love motorhomes, others fifth wheels, and still others prefer travel trailers. Each one has it's advantages and disadvantages. What is best depends upon the people, their preferences and priorities.

You haven't said what chassis you have but ours was a Ford, and we never regretted our choice, but buying it new we also knew that it was used gently and received all maintenance & repairs as soon as needed.
