Motorcoach age restrictions at campgrounds

Are there a large percentage of campgrounds nationwide that refuse units over 10 years old?

No, there are not. And some that have a 10 year rule will make exceptions if you rig looks nice. It's usually the fancy resorts that ask how old your rig is.

My coach is 18 years old and only one time have I been questioned. I had to send a picture and all was fine.

As long as you keep the coach clean and polished and it isn't a half converted schoolie, you should have no problem

we've been doin the RV thing since 1986, camped in most of the lower 48 and have run across 1 maybe 2 that had that rule. so, no, i think the percentage with that requirement is very, very small.

The wife and I spent 2 summers looking around lake Winnipesaukee NH for a seasonal park. All had the 10 year rule. It didn't matter weather you were a MH or a pop up. We went to the Berkshires in MA.

As mentioned it is rare, I have stayed at close to 100 locations (commercial and public campgrounds) since buying my current coach in 2016 and I have yet to run into it, other than at a few campgrounds I had scouted out as potential over night stops on trips. Even then many of the campgrounds with these sorts of rules do not apply the 10 year limit to short term (under a week or so) campers.

YES it does exist.

Just a 'tool' for CG owners/staff to use as necessary
If your RV is run down/unkept, 'jed clampett' type then you will encounter it more

I think itís a hard and fast rule that allows management to view your unit and if it doesnít look so good, and is 10 years old, your out. On the other hand, if itís 15 years old, looks as good as a 5yr. old unit, then nothing is said. JHMO

Mostly, but wrong. As I have stated, something has been said.

OK, post a link to where as I have not seen it. My seasonal park has a 10 year rule which with pictures, can be suspended. Our winter snowbird park has a dumb one...rig has to be 10 or less when first brought in but then there is no limit to how old. Because of it I bought a 08 Navigator when I upgraded last year...otherwise I would have gone several years older.

Any problems getting into RV parks with an RV older than 10 years?
