Motorhome Blowout Safety

Many of us have seen videos or read about the serious consequences and damage that can result from a front tire blowout on a motorhome.


RETTROBAND is a device that is installed on the wheels inside the tires. They claim to prevent the loss of control that can come from running on the aluminum tire rim after a blowout. US Distributors are National Indoor RV Centers.


Has any motorhome owner had an opportunity to purchase, install and evaluate this recently advertised product? I have no idea what they cost or anything about their effectiveness aside from the company's video demonstration. https://www.rettroband.com/

I had Tyron bands installed on my new coach when i bought it this past july.
Cost was 2,000 for both. No blow out yet so cant evaluate and hopefully wont

Check out Safe T Plus on google their steering stabilizer will make it much less effort to maintain control if a steer tire blows out. They have multiple youtube videos showing vehicles with Safe T Plus handling intentional steer tire blowouts on Tractor Trailers and RVs.

It also makes it a lot more enjoyable to drive my Class A in normal circumstances.
