I received some questions on this so. Is really stright forward. The outlet mounted on the genset is wired as a 50amp RV outlet (2 115v circuits), wires matched up and connected inside the genset on the terminal block along with the wires running to the coaches auto transfer switch.

The "Manual Transfer Switch" located inside the house along side of the circuit breaker box is a 6 circuit unit. There are many of these available from several manufacturers. The one I have is made by Connecticut Electric. They are all about the same but I just liked the features of this one. Instructions come with the transfer switch, both printed and a video, and is not complicated - BUT - if not comfortable around this type of stuff, have a electrician do it for you. Just make sure he realizes that were wireing as a 50amp RV(2 115v circuits)as far as the connection to the genset is concerned. Check everything with a meter, 50amp outlet and cord to transfer switch befor actual using.

Seems like Ice Storms happen often and sure was nice to kick on the genset and enjoy the confort of lights and heat.

Pics below. Look in the Folder "Starting again with Monaco Knight".
