Motorized 12V Sun Visors
I'd like to add motorized sun visors to my coach. I've found information on "Carefree" and also this source:
https://www.amazon.com/Motorized-Mic.../dp/B008OAEKB8
I'd like to install them myself, as I think I'm up to the task...
It appears that Carefree made a remote control switch for their 12V visors, but no longer make it. Is that because their were a lot of problems, or just no enough demand.
Any other suggestions or comments...

We have the motorized type in our coach and use them a lot. With such a large windshield you get a lot of sun. I have 2 switches on the drivers side console so both shades can be controlled, only 1 on the passenger side. Don't know what brand they are but the only problem I've had was a blown fuse when I bottomed out both shades at the same time and held the button too long.
The install shouldn't be too bad, should be able to find a power source on the front firewall. Then it is just a matter of installing the switches, wiring, and mounting the shades.

I installed a pair of those in my Itasca and it was easy. All you have to do is supply power to the shades since they use a remote to operate them. I mounted the remote on the dash with a piece of Velcro. They worked great the three years I had them in the Itasca before trading.

Thanks for the replies...
I may try the ones on Amazon. They look simple to install and have a remote with them.
I got an email from Carefree and all they said is that they discontinued the remotes. It was before this guys time there so he doesn't know why.

Only 1 review and they didn't say anything. Worth a try. Check the return policy on them. Open one and check it out.

For a windshield visor I use an 8' MCD power roller shade lowered 6" to 18" as necessary.
