We had heavy rain last night and was wondering if anyone can help us out with any information on how to fix the slide out. The full slide out tends to gather a lot of water in the middle and somehow it leaked down to the back corner in the bedroom and leaked in to the floor under the dresser and on the bedroom floor carpet. Do anyone know how to prevent this from happening again and if there is a way of tightening the awning over the full slide out

Not sure if I can help but wanted to welcome another Pacifica owner. We have a 2008 40D and LOVE it.
We did find some of the seals had sorta flipped the wrong direction around the slides so we also got some water in on our galley slide. We went around and made sure all the seals were smooth & facing the correct direction. We bought ours 1 year ago & think the time on the lot & lack of using the slides created some sticky seals that didn't move freely. We haven't had the problem since.

Just some thoughts for you.
1.Some use a ball under the slide awning.
2. Even with a tight awning you may get water under it on the slide, before pulling the slide in, raise your jacks at one end or the other and this should dump any water under the awning.
3. Also, for some reason you'll find that the long slide may be set lower at the rear then it is at the front. My Tradewinds is.

My Tradewinds was level and we went through some pretty heavy rain, when I brought it in the rain slid off the awning, but the rain under it ran right down the rear and into the MH as the slide top cleared the seal.

Hope this helps you. If you're in a blowing rain storm it will go under the awning.

BTW, Welcome to the Forum.

If you haven't seen it yet, there is an National owners Forum and you might get better responses on questions that could be brand specific.

Sorry, did miss your one question on adjusting the tension on the awning.
Yes, you can. But I'm not sure how to do it. I'm sure some one can tell you how on the forum, unless you want to take it in to get it done.
