When the combination control valve is released, the flame goes out and the 'flame indicator' light goes dark. My first thought was to replace the thermocouple but if the flame indicator illuminates it makes me think the thermocouple is sending proper signal. It seems the combination control valve is no longer available. Part number 624274. Any insight to proper testing would be appreciated. I may simply try replacing the thermocouple anyway. Also, if anyone has a link to a combination control valve 624274 please let me know. Thanks in advance.
Just last week I repaired my Norcold 682 fridge
, (with the same symptoms), by replacing the
"Electrode-Spark/Sense"...(Norcold part number 61692222).
$15.27 from a RV parts store in Wisconsin.
(NOTE: The part number for your Norcold 482 may be different).
My Norcold has worked perfectly from Wisconsin, through Iowa & Kansas and into Colorado... where daytime temps have been 90+ degrees, (F), every day.
