Need help diagnosing refrigerator

I have a Norcold 482 propane/electric refrigerator. It work well on 120 volt a/c. When I attempt to light on propane the flame will light and 'flame indicator' light will illuminate ONLY when the combination control valve is being pushed in. When the combination control valve is released, the flame goes out and the 'flame indicator' light goes dark. My first thought was to replace the thermocouple but if the flame indicator illuminates it makes me think the thermocouple is sending proper signal. It seems the combination control valve is no longer available. Part number 624274. Any insight to proper testing would be appreciated. I may simply try replacing the thermocouple anyway. Also, if anyone has a link to a combination control valve 624274 please let me know. Thanks in advance.

The flame indicator does not get its signal from the thermocouple. Your thermocouple is bad. Here is a link to the service manual http://bryantrv.com/docs2/docs/n400.pdf

Just last week I repaired my Norcold 682 fridge, (with the same symptoms), by replacing the
"Electrode-Spark/Sense"...(Norcold part number 61692222).
$15.27 from a RV parts store in Wisconsin.
(NOTE: The part number for your Norcold 482 may be different).

My Norcold has worked perfectly from Wisconsin, through Iowa & Kansas and into Colorado... where daytime temps have been 90+ degrees, (F), every day.

I found repair information online and the first step (if lights but then goes out) was to remove the plastic knob on the gas/off/electric selector and light by pressing metal shaft with knob removed. I thought this was silly but did it anyway and it stays lit. I believe the plastic knob was pressed on just a tad too far and would bottom out before metal shaft was fully inserted. Very happy. Thanks for the input, guys.
