Need help for Prosine 2.0 problem

I have a '99 35 ft Fleetwood Pace Arrow Vision. The new Prosine 2.0 inverter/converter was installed in 2006. The 4 year old unit is now showing a negative 230 volts for the AC In and 0 volts 160+ amps for the battery. The battery is not even connected.

I called Xantrax but was told the unit was too old so they no longer work on this unit as they do not have parts for it. I have tried a total shutdown and have replaced the telephone cable as they suggested. Neither worked or improved the situation. It was expensive but I expected it to be robust and have a long life so worth the money. I am extremely disappointed to now just throw it away.

Are there other things I might try? Is there anyone who might work on it?

thida, What's the condition with the battery connected to the circuit? I have not heard of an AC voltage being expressed as Negative.

Thank you for the reply. I am Bill. I am using my wife's login member.

The Prosine indicates the same condition, 0 voltage and 160 amps, when connected to the batteries and/or the shore power. The batteries are two 12 volt AGM batteries connected in parallel. I measured the battery voltage as 12.3 volts. I also checked it at the Prosine and got the same voltage.

Bill

If you are near Michigan's Thumb.. I have a spare display.. So if the problem is the display I can help you... but if it's the Inverter.. Alas, I don't have a spare one of those

Xantrex told me for a full reset not only do you cut off AC to it.. but disconnect DC too.. Then enjoy that cup of coffee and restore power.

Turn off, Unplug (or trip breaker) and lift the NEGATIVE battery cable to fully disconnect.

Thank you for the offer but I think the display is okay. Other than the bad readings it functions normally.

I did unplug both the DC/AC, the temperature sensor, and the display (Xantrax instructions to me). Unfortunately it did not change anything.
