Need tips on up-sizing our Class A

Our 2004 Sightseer 27C has been pronounced too small for two humans and our 70 lb. dog. We have a 40 foot long RV shed. We would like to up-size to a used, 32 to 36 foot Class A, gas or diesel. We have some $$ to kick in.

One big reason is that we have a small Queen walk-around bed, 56 inches wide. We require a 72 inch walk-around bed platform. No ifs, ands or but(t)s.

We are starting locally to look around and our first choice (which ain't gonna happen) is to find a person who has what we want and who wants to down-size to our 27C.

Second choice is to sell ours outright to a private party and than look around for a used RV that suits us. (ebay is out. Maybe craigslist)

Third, is to find a consignment dealer to find a buyer for us and perhaps find something on his lot that suits us.

Last, is to do a trade-in at a dealership.

I can look at NADA and other sources and look at inventories all over the US to get comparisons......but any advice you can give us would be much appreciated.

Thank you

We just bought our '08 Winnebago Sightseer 35J which has a king bed (big deciding factor with both of us & our 83 lb golden retriever who takes up the ENTIRE foot of our bed!) This floor plan has bunks, which we needed for kids, but I believe there is another sightseer without bunks that still has a king bed. Georgetown also has king beds from what I remember during our search.

PPL Motorhomes in Houston would be a great consignment place to bring your moho....and they might have what you're looking for too! Check out their website, you can view all floor plans & great pics of each unit. People come from all over the country to shop here. We're local, but we'd decided on a 35j early on and they didnt' have one so we looked nation wide for the best deal. Ended up flying to Panama City FL to get ours & are very very happy with it!

good luck!!
