Need used radiator

Cousin needs a replacement radiator for his Patriot Thunder 525 hp Cat. I believe it is an 05. Anyone know where he might find a good used one? Any ideas much appreciated. New ones very expensive.

Safe travels all

First you'll need a part number from Monaco, contact them and ask for a quote, it will be high but it will have info on it. I got a quote +$6K

You may get lucky and find a used one, I had a radiator failure in May, I contacted Visione Auto Mart in KY and at first they thought they had one to fit but turned out they didn't. The quote was higher then what I eventually found new.

New radiator
Source Engineering probably will be able to get you one, they quoted me ~$3400 plus shipping

I ended up buying new from CG&J in Alabama, initially I was going to have mine rebuilt, quote was +$3K but in the end there was a Monaco Windsor like mine that had just had one done and they could make me a new one for a lower cost $2500 including shipping. Fairly fast turn around.

If you have a local radiator shop they can probably rebuild for you cheaper.

The only good used radiator will be in an RV salvage yard, in a coach that was totaled before it got very old. Maybe a fire or something. The rad in a Patriot is probably the same model as used in some other Monaco/Beaver/HR brands, since I think they were all on Monaco Roadmaster chassis by 2005.

Try this place Axles, Plumbing Fixtures and Parts items in Johnson's Surplus store on eBay!. When my 2005 Monaco rear radiator went bad a few years ago, they had a dozen surplus ones left over from when Monaco went out of business. They sold me a pallet with the radiator, charge air cooler and shroud (all assembled together) for $675.00 brand new. I know they've doubled that price and might still have something that fits your coach. They're a big RV surplus buyer.
