New Class C PDI

Well, we've taken the plunge and pick up our new Class C tomorrow morning. We're trading in our FR Rockwood 2608WS on a Thor Four Winds 31L. Pretty excited about this big change.

I belong to half a dozen different RV/Camping Forums and have read just about every review on quality control, problems with new purchases and the problems people have had. I firmly agree there are problems with every manufacturer out there, but in the end, IMHO, I'm of the thought if it has so many issues, why would you sign for it and drive away? In the end, doing a very thorough PDI should find the vast majority of issues that many people realize after they've gotten home.

With that, I've been putting together a PDI checklist of things I'm going to inspect and/or test. I'm sure I'm missing some things, as up to this point we've been TT folks. Class C is a new animal for us.

So, I'm sharing my checklist for anyone looking to waste a bit of time. What are we missing from this? Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated. I love this forum and the straight-scoop everyone is willing to share. I'm pretty thick-skinned and don't mind being corrected.

Thanks in advance for any input someone may have.

Looking good Darren, just one thought, start early. Dealers like to schedule PDI's in the afternoon and just rush through the surface. I suspect your checklist would take a good part of a full day.

Hopefully you have a campground close to the lot, where you can spend a few days going over and getting a "Feel" for the unit.

Good Luck

We're scheduled to start at 10:00am. Unfortunately, we won't be able to camp there, so we'll be bringing it home....hate that, but that's how it goes, I guess.

Keeping our fingers crossed!
