Spent 7 hours with a friend today installing Gibson headers and exhaust. I really thought it would have taken less time since we had access to all of the bolts on the manifolds. Had 3 studs break off in the heads so those had to be removed with an easy out. Luckily the threads remained good.
Used a plasma cutter to remove a couple of stubborn bolts on the Y-pipe. Then finished it up with new 3" stainless piping, muffler and a chrome tip. Sounds great and I could notice the improvement with the performance on the return drive home. Was driving 55 mph up a hill and accelerated to 65 mph and the tranny didn't need to down shift.
I'm pleased with the whole setup. Bought it back in December at CW and only paid $530 for it. The quality of the kit was very good with new bolts and hangers included. Just thought I'd share my review.

Actually the factory y pipe is the only item that is used. I got Gibson headers, muffler, all new 3" piping and a chrome tip. Everything was stainless steel.
