Ross, I have the same RV as you, 2001 Expedition, does yours have the storage compartment in the floor between the drivers and passengers seat? If so how did you cover it. Ernie if you read this and are familar with the Expedition layout, how would you handle the opening in the floor?
Course it has a door and a little lift handle to pull it up.
Jim

Jim, what material are you going back with? I haven't done an Expedition, yet, but I believe I did a Winniebago that had that layout. Post a photo here of the door closed, and opened and I'll study it. Thanks, Ernie

Ok Ernie, I'll get a picture of it today, not sure what I'm going with. I did my Stick house kitchen and rebuilt the bedroom, floor to ceiling, included tearing the floor out completly and installing new joists, removing a wall and rerouting electrical, so am familiar with wood working just to give you some of my bona fides
I sent you a private message also, but everyone could benifit from your knowledge.
BTW, did all the work myself, course the wife helped with suggestions
Ross, didn't mean to hijack your thread.
Jim

Ok Ernie, here's the pic's, got your PM thought everyone would like to see, course the first one is just a brag pic of our unit on its pad at home

Thinking of using peel and stick tile, or Laminate flooring, your thoughts very welcome.
I don't want to make some sort of tripping area there, and might it be best to just seal it over??
Thanks,
Jim

The coach that I put flooring in had many irregularities up front. I'm curious to see what is under the carpet. Many times the driver area has a slight rise where there is steel.
First thing, remove copilot chair, then captains chair. I'll guide you thru it.

Thanks Ernie, only thinking about it at this point, have several trips planned in immediate future, so can't do it until late fall probably.
We have reservations at Stage Coach RV Campground in Branson for a week later this month, 49th wedding anniversary. Going to do some picking and grinning Taking a couple of guitars and amps.
Will be headed to east texas Palestine lake area later probably in July, Wife's brother's ashes will be sprinkled on Lake Palestine, where he liked to fish.
Anyhoo, thanks for the inspiration and advice, will be following all the threads about flooring.
Jim
