New Motor Home Owner
Hi,
My wife are brand new to the RV world. We bought a 1991 Beaver Contessa. She has a few more issues we are finding out. It has water damage from leaky windshield and windows. Any advice for some very green owners? It is the 36 foot model with a 3116 Cat engine. Planning to change all fluids and found some dry rot we are replacing. Does anyone know about where to find replacement showers doors. We have so many questions. We have the original manuals and books, lots of stuff to read up on. Any Beaver owners out there? What has been your experience and have you enjoyed owning a Beaver? Thank you.

Glad to have you join us here in the forums.
Good luck with your many projects.
I haven't ordered from this site but they may have something you can use for the shower.

i suggest you visit the 'vintage rvs' and the 'monaco' forums here on iRV2. you will likely find more related info there than in this one.

We bought a 1994 Beaver Patriot in 2015. It had water leaks as well. I thought it was the windows as well. We found that the metal strip that joined the roof to the side walls was leaking. The sealant was missing above the door and the drivers window. It was never installed from new. We replaced all the interior wall board and the floor boards in places were it was damaged as well. I braced the outside walls with 3/4" plywood and 2x4's. I put gorilla glue on 1/4" plywood and clamped it to the inside fiberglass were the old rotted wood was removed. We replace the wood frame around the passenger side 2 front windows. We replaced all the foam insulation in the damaged walls and glued new wall board back in place with gorilla glue and again used 2x4 for bracing. It took my wife and I 7 weeks working about 8 to 10 hours per day. We have no bulges or delamination on the outside walls and no water leaks as well. I posted some pictures here on a different thread.
