I just purchased a 1984 24' Class C MinnieWinnie. Insides carpets and upholstery are new, new v. blindes on all windows. Engine is the Chevy 350, 6 new tires. Happy with purchase. From an original Winnebago, through a GMC Motorhome, Pace Arrow, Tioga getting larger each time (over 40 years - off and on) I wanted to move down to a small unit again for ease of getting around - don't want to pull a car. It has been well maintained and other than a oil pan oil leak is, all in all, in good shape. Will have light use - just overnightes.

The outside, of course, shows some deterioration in the paint and needs to be brightened up. What should I use to bring back the old colors and to finally wax it with.

Is it painted metal or is it some type of fiberglass sidewall?

They sell oxidation removers for car-type finishes in auto parts stores or even Walmart. hat should work on painted metal. If it is fiberglass, you may have some success with the color restorers sold for fiberglass boats. Oxidized fiberglass doesn't clean up as well as paint, though.

If the walls are fiberglass you can use any of the fiberglass cleaners designed for boats. Sme material and same results. If the gelcoat is totally ruined you can resort to paint. If you have aluminum you can resort to paint or replace all of the siding. If you are near an area that sells RV supplies you may find the same pattern you have. Elkhart, IN has many supply stores that do this.
