Yes rent!! My husband is your size and we've owned an Airstream TT, Lexington class b and Winnebago Aspect 30ft class C. Size matters to be comfortable. The B we owned was nice, but too small!! We started out with no tow vehicle because you can unhook and travel in it right?? Not so easy nor convenient. So the toad came very soon after purchase. Made life soooo much easier. And our class C was great....until the mountains came a calling...very sluggish. Now we are looking at a diesel truck and 5th wheel...plenty of room, much easier going to mountains. We don't need a lot of space, so a 32' 5vr will be just fine.
Never had a class A so can't comment there.
You will figure it out. A lot of great comments here. Totally agree with renting tho.
Safe travels

Using the heavy truck for a runabout gets old, too! The "A" avoids that.

Have to agree with Potteng, but how many of us will end up in a Foretravel. Firm believer in the class A though.

If you cannot swing a new Newell or Foretravel,, Look at used ones... The end cost will equal what you would pay for a "top of the heap" new SOB.. just depends on whether you are a "buy and keep it", or a "trade it every few years" type of RV'er..

X2,
And in my case to potentially be able to afford a luxury coach that once sold for double of what my 750k Southern California's S&B cost me is pretty amazing.

Kind of a dummy, but what is a new SOB. I am assuming Sand B is for stick built house.

Thanks. After looking, I could possibly squeeze into a used Foretravel, but the Newell would be a stretch. I also drove, not as many miles as you. We chose to get rid of our 2007 Tuscany for a 2018 Sightseer. Sounds like BS, but I would put my V-10 up against the 350 Cat I had anytime. I know the Tuscany weighed more but I felt it was a pooch. Honk when you pass me, and I will flash to tell you when you are clear to pull back in.
