New Water Pump Won't Cycle

I wasn't real impressed with my water pressure so I decided to upgrade to a Flojet 4.5 GPM water pump. I am wondering if there is a recirculating circuit somewhere in my plumbing because with the pump on and all faucets closed the pump continuously runs and never cycles off. Definitely no leaks anywhere. Anyone have any experience with this pump or this problem?

Thanks,
Glenn

If your city water inlet valve is on tank fill , your pump would do this.

You have something open someware in the system it is supposed to shut off unless you have a bad pump pressure switch
