I like the fact that I can tell exactly how many inches a spot is off level before I park. Very handy as we boondock often and sometimes its hard to tell how far off you are. Nothing worse than trying to level and the jacks reach maximum stroke and cant get you level. Im in!

Bathroom door is all I need....just open door half way

If it swings closed....tail high
If it swings more open......nose high
IF it stays open....close enough

That way I don't fall off toilet

I don't have the fancy-smancy auto level on Mona, just the manual version, so I bought a small torpedo level, put it on the hardwood floor next to the drivers seat, and works for us! Close enough! Cost = 2.99 At Wal-Mart!

That's my view (and I'm an engineer...we engineers normally look for stuff to fix that does not need fixing). I do have a small bull's eye level that I toss around the floor sometimes, but I just calibrated the auto leveling system with a long level and it seems to level pretty true (certainly to the point where I don't notice/care).

Our rig has the manual hydraulic leveling jacks so i have to rely on a level of some sort. What's nice is that a bubble type level is mounted about 6 inches from the leveler controller. Sitting in the driver's seat, i can eyeball the bubble while operating the jacks. Really simple process so i certainly wouldn't spend $140 on some gizmo that basically gives the same results.

I have 2 stick-on levels within eyesight of the drivers seat. My jacks are manual so I just move things til those level say 'good enough.' Then I jack the nose up another notch so the condensation from the a/c runs off the back.

This is what we do as well. I back it up by also trying a cupboard door. I have found this to be more accurate than a bulleye level, a 3' carpenter's level or a 4 legged $40 blinking light device that was a waste of money.

Inside Leveling........

I am surprised to read about all the " Inside" leveling procedure's...... On my Coach, it still has the factory setting on the leveling pod to adjust/level the Coach so all the water from the AC units goes off the drivers side rear spout............everything is good inside as far as doors, stove........just about all the rain water goes off the rear spouts, except in a down pour.

New way to check leveling device

The compass app on an iPhone has a bubble level built in. I suspect an Android phone also has this feature.

A glass of water works, too.

This $140 device is a complete waste of money, but you know what Barnum said...
