My 2001 Dutch Star is about 500 miles away with another electrical problem. It hasno power to the dash accessories at all. All the gauges are working, but no accessories...not even the generator start. There is no power to the dash. All the fuses look good. All the connections that I can find look good. I think this is a problem with the power source not the ground because we tried testing it with a different ground. COuld there be a relay in that power source circuit that is bad? If so, where should I look for it and how can I tell if it is bad? Does anyone know of a wiring diagram available online? I am at a loss.

Are these accessories powered by the house or chassis batteries? If house batts, try going to the batteries and making sure the positive and negative posts are all clean and have good connections. Then trace the ground wire(s) from these batteries to the chassis frame where they should be grounded. Make sure the connection is tight, clean and corrosion free. Many electrical problems are as simple as a bad ground.

I do not have a Newmar but a Safari Sahara. I have had a similar problem except that it killed ALL power to my dash. Turned out to be the main electrical solenoid that is located in my main electrical distribution panel. I'm not not sure if you have one of these or not. It looks like a starter solenoid. NAPA has them for about $25.00

It does sound like an open soenloid. You should be able to put a test probe across solenoids and i you get the light to come on the solenoid is open.
